While human involvement is still necessary for the creation of machine art, it would be wrong to think of the human as the artist. A more accurate description of our role would be that of a mentor. Just like with human artists, machines need someone to teach them the basic techniques and expose them to works that they can draw from when creating their own art.
At the end of the day it is not a humans strokes or notes you experience in our Gallery, but those of the machine.
Below you find the models of AI that are behind the art you find in the Gallery.
The machine learns an artistic style which it is then able to apply to new images.
You select a style and a track length and the machine automatically composes a song.
Computer vision program created by Google which uses a convolutional neural network to find and enhance patterns in images.
Model that consists of grid structures where the state of each cell is determined by rules applied to neighbouring cells, as time advances.
Program that generates lyrics based on visual cues from an image. It then composes a simple melody and adds chords and drums.
